Dear Notre Dame Community,

I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself as the President of the newly established Notre Dame Athletic Boosters. My name is Mark Kelly, proud graduate of Notre Dame, Class of 1996. I’m excited to share that fellow alumnus Bill Shannon, Class of 1990, will be joining me in this effort, serving as Vice President.

Over the past few months, our dedicated core team has been working behind the scenes to create a unified platform that brings all community athletic support together in one place. Our mission is simple: to support our student-athletes and maintain full transparency with our supporters every step of the way.

The team leading this initiative includes Athletic Director Bob Boldman, Melyssa Shannon, Brandi Davis, Chris Fowler, Kristy Fowler, Jill Kelly, Keely McGraw, Shane Ingles, Nick Rutman, and Gene Collins. Each of these individuals brings unique talents and a shared passion for the success of Notre Dame Athletics.

As many of you know, maintaining a competitive athletic program at a private school requires significant funding. Our base athletic budget is $140,000 annually—this covers only the essential needs of our entire program. In the past, we’ve relied heavily on coaches to fundraise for their individual sports. Moving forward, our goal is to establish a solid, sustainable foundation to support our athletes—now and for generations to come.

We’re excited to introduce our new platform of support, now live at ndboosters.com. This platform is designed to support our base budget and serve as the hub for community involvement. In addition to online support, we’ll be hosting fun, creative events that bring us together and celebrate what makes Notre Dame special.

Unity will be the key to our long-term success. This isn't just about our current athletes—it’s about supporting our future athletes as well. Our preschool program is thriving, and our elementary athletes are growing and developing every day. Now is the time to come together under one umbrella, stay positive, share social media posts, explore ideas, and get involved.  We’ll be sharing updates and engaging with you regularly through our NDAthletics pages on Facebook, Instagram, and X.

A special thank you goes to Joey Shannon for designing our new logo and to Fr. Smith, our Principals, and our Development team for their unwavering support and collaboration.  For more details, upcoming events, and ways to get involved, visit ndboosters.com

Thank you for your support!

Mark Kelly
